Error Using Change Assistant While Installing HCM 9.1 Bundle 16: "Invalid User ID and Password for Signon. (0,0)

SYMPTOMS:

After using Change Assistant to install HCM UPD901760_Bundle16 on Demo, on step 4 an error is encountered shown below which has rendered the database unusable by the PS admin login.

Error Message:

 Message Reason: Invalid User ID and password for signon. (0,0)

SOLUTION:

As a workaround, try the following steps in the environment where you want to apply the bundle.

1. Check that the user is allocated the Peoplesoft Administrator Role.  If the role is missing, add the role to the user profile.

2. Also, remove the role "HR Administrator BRA" from PS user using PIA and try to apply the bundle.

3. If the above step does not work or if PS user is not able to login due to signon error, then please restore the environment from backup and then remove the role "HR Administrator BRA" from PS user using PIA and try to apply the bundle.

Open Change Assistant

Note: “Apply Downloaded PeopleSoft Release Patchset to PeopleSoft Image” option is not available for Tools Release 8.53.06.

I have downloaded the latest People Tools client 8.53.13 and installed the Change Assistant to get the above option.

 

Note: If a java.lang error message is experienced, then Un-install the current Change Assistant and Re-install

 

 

 

 

Click On Create

Note: We need to use oracle 64-bit client for SQL Client Tool.
